Ethoca Collaborates with Accertify to Win at 2017 Cards and Payments Awards

Anti-fraud and chargeback prevention collaboration network wins judges’ vote

Toronto, Canada and London, UK – February 14, 2017 – Ethoca, the leading provider of collaboration-based technology solutions that help card issuers and online merchants increase card acceptance and stop ecommerce fraud and disputes, today announced that it has won at the 2017 Cards and Payments Awards for Best Technology Initiative of the Year for a joint project with Accertify, a leading provider of fraud prevention, chargeback management and payment gateway solutions for ecommerce merchants.

The 12th annual Cards and Payments Awards, which took place on Thursday, 3rd February at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane, recognise excellence and innovation in the UK and Irish card and payments industries.

Ethoca Alerts provides issuers and merchants with a highly effective early warning on transactions that cardholders have confirmed to be fraudulent. The award recognises the network effect of Ethoca’s Alerts service, using near real-time collaboration with Accertify’s fraud management platform to help card issuers and online merchants more efficiently manage disputes and chargebacks. Ethoca’s flagship service allows immediate resolution of disputes before ever reaching the chargeback stage, enabling banks and online merchants to reduce costs and the time spent handling disputes.

“We are thrilled to be recognised by the most distinguished members of the cards and payments industry for our work with Accertify in reducing fraud and preventing chargebacks,” said Keith Briscoe, Chief Marketing Officer for Ethoca. “Ethoca collaboration across the ecosystem is reaching critical mass: our end-to-end solution for Accertify’s merchant customer base – and thousands of others on Ethoca’s network – is a first in the industry.”

“Our partnership with Ethoca allows participating Accertify merchants to stop more fraudulent orders before they are fulfilled. Our merchants are excited about their ability to participate in the Ethoca Fraud Alerts program without having to do any technical integrations with their systems. We are excited about this partnership and are always looking for new ways to provide more value to our merchants,” said Catherine Tong, General Manager of Accertify for the EMEA region.
